Leader and oldest virion of the Murray Pack.
He's also just a dad who wants his kids to thrive and live without any danger from immune cells, so he tries everything to make it basically impossible for cells to reach his nest. Matthias hates humans, so next to being a good father and king to his virions, his main goal is to wipe out the human species.

As a puppy, Matthias was actually very sweet and friendly to everyone he met. But, once his equally kindhearted father died, he was found and adopted into his grandfather's pack, where he got brainwashed and tainted with their total opposite ideals.
His father teached him to love and respect Mother Nature and all life on the planet, for everyone and everything being connected and thus family. He still does today, but he never really understood why he shouldn't dislike humans. After all, they are the only species who seem to be rather disrespectful to nature. Due to being brainwashed, he started to fully hate humans for their destruction of the planet, and now sees himself as the hero who will save and heal Earth once his kind has killed all humans.
He has schizoaffective disorder, though this will be shown much later in the story (in Matthias's case, symptoms of the disorder must be triggered first).

Due to his birthrights as his father's first-born son, Brooke is actually the rightful successor to the throne. Though, he fears the idea of becoming the pack's next king one day, and asked his father if he could be leveled down to the prince rank. Matthias agreed, and due to his son's fear (as well as that of future generations), he edited the rules of the birthrights law, so any first-born son can request to be leveled down.

As puppy, Brooke was quite relaxed and mature for his age already. He often acts as the voice of reason to other virions, especially his hotheaded younger brother, Prince Scratcher. He's blind since birth, but has no issues finding his way around the nest and territory. Because he has better developed hearing, he also has no issue pinpointing the exact location of and/or evading charging immune cells. He's almost always seen together with Scratcher, given the two are inseparable.

After Brooke was leveled down to the prince rank, Scratcher was selected to succeed his father as the next king. Due to his somewhat bossy personality, yet good leadership skills, the lead-heir title totally suits him. Scratcher is obsessed with his looks, so he can often be seen grooming his membrane proteins. He believes that he's the most beautiful virion of his kind.

As puppy, Scratcher was actually really shy and easily scared. He was mute until a certain age, even though his brothers did talk just fine. He did make baby noises to get his father's attention. Scratcher is very attached to his father. As pup, he started crying whenever his father left the nest. Now, he just dislikes it, but always excitedly greets his father once he returns. Same for when Scratcher himself has to leave the nest to patrol, mark territory or infect. If he's not with his father, Scratcher can be seen with his favorite brother, Brooke. Scratcher is autistic, but has either overcome most of his struggles or learned to mask during situations where he needs to act professional, as he doesn't really shows it very often. He shows his true, playful self whenever the pack is resting, though. He's also homoromantic-bisexual.

Meech is very sweet and friendly, yet can be really stubborn and rebellious if it comes to his father's ideals and rules. He knows that his kind causes disease, but he rather wants to heal. He literally feels misplaced within the Murray Pack, but feels like he's at home whenever he hangs out with his red blood cell bestie, Mitzi.

As puppy, Meech already acts rebellious. He sneaks out someday and meets cells for the first time. Though, he's disguised as a cell himself, so no one acts hostile to him. Though, this actually gave him the false idea that cells aren't enemies. Once he reaches adulthood, Meech learns that his father's warnings about cells are indeed true, yet he still tries to gain their trust and befriend them. Matthias is hurt by his son's behavior, though Meech actually doesn't mean to do so. Despite the situation, he still loves him.
Meech speaks with a stutter and his more human-like eyes are caused by a mutation.
